Baltimore County fire crews are responding to the scene of a major accident in Pikesville after a Maryland Transit Administration bus crashed into a building Wednesday evening, leaving more than 30 people injured, one critically.
A large number of medical units have been deployed to the scene in the 1500 block of Reisterstown Road, Baltimore County Fire Department spokesperson Andrew Laird said in an email. The building, which includes a FedEx Corp. branch, suffered structural damage, Laird said.
Officials have requested a medical evacuation helicopter, Shock Trauma Go Team and two medical ambulance buses from other jurisdictions, Laird said.
